Global warming is principally caused by the increase of glasshouse gasses, carbon dioxide and methane, in the earths upper atmosphere. The bulk of the people on earth believe that global warming is an effect of the burning of fossil fuels. Another major divisor contributing to global warming is deforestation, which is occurring around the world, but mainly in the amazon.
The United States is the leading nation for most glasshouse gas emissions.
