Presnky, in his infamous article digital Natives and Digital Immigrants, coined the notion that the youth are digital natives and the old(a) extension digital immigrants. But I am not sure I agree. I know many teenagers who stub download movies, post to Facebook, find a YouTube video and more, scarce the minute they requirement to apprize something there is a deprivation of knowledge. In the article Digital Natives and Digital Immigrants, Prensky describes the grand difference in the way these two distinct groups of peck learn and interact. Digital Natives are those born after 1980. This is the generation that did not know life prior to technology. Digital Immigrants erudite through reading and writing without the help of technology only now bespeak to learn it and incorporate it in their day-after-day lives. Digital Natives grew up with technology and it is a part of their universal life. Both groups project very different styles of learning. The problem is star group is teaching the other.
Prenskys view is that digital natives need to be taught by new methods.
