In the 1920s raw writers and artists of America led a flourishing new movework forcet in the literature, theatre and bang known as the Harlem spiritual rebirth or the Negro movement. The Harlem Renaissance is unusual among literary and artistic movements for its close relationship to genteel rights and reform organization. This helped to tear down the walls of racism, sexism and gender discrimination to certain extend. Like Alice in Wonderland the women of colour experience pitfalls of inequality and sexual harassment to identify their needs against the dominant society.
