The Few the Proud and the Brave. Javier Morales, a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps considers himself to be an example of what the Marines illustrates. I am a Marine to the heart, 100%. Javier joined the Marines at the age of twenty one, in search of a give sustenance for two himself and his family. He was personally awarded from Presidents Bush and Obama for his bravery and for saving the life of civilians and members from his squad.
For being so outstanding and being a commodity leader, Javier and thirteen others from his squad were invited to the Australian ceremonial parade to commit special military drills.
Despite his accomplishments, what does it mean to be a Marine? Discipline, heart, attention to detail, and pride are all qualities that Javier feels are necessary to being a Marine. The Marines are the toughest branch of the military. They muffle him down and build him back up. It requires strength, endurance, and determination. Everyone is not made for the Marines because it is both a physical and mental challenge. He has to be able to take instruction and follow them appropriately.
