My point being is that usually when a conversation turns into an argument, (via text messaging) we have no way of reading our telephone receiver and adjusting our body language, vocal tones, etc. on the fly as we would in person.



However, there are many things we bottom of the inning do to be more conscious of our behaviors in a given conversation.
The first and most obvious would be to talk about it in person, which is of course if it gets too out of hand. The second would be to bring them to a more personal level and obviously explain or ask them, What did I say? (through text) The nett would be to talk it over on the phone to where you can hear one anothers voices and vocal tones.
