        Occupational therapy is the art and knowledge of helping people do the day-to-day activities that are authorized to them despite stultification, disability, or handicap (Willard & Spackards Occupational Therapy: ninth Edition, 5). The main goal of an occupational therapist is to maximize the patients indie functioning. The areas of functioning which may need improvement are obdurate by the patient and the therapist together.
