Love in the Time of Cholera was written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, one of the most influential Colombian novelists in the mid-20th century of Latin American publications history. Even though Love in the Time of Cholera is less popular than Marquez early novel, One Hundred Years of Solitude, but Love in The Time of Cholera has brought a new thought about love as an unrestrained and physical disease which refers to the word cholera.
