Arab Women Are stomach Dancers
Westerners portray Arab women especially in Hollywood movies. They portray them as being unwarranted, dependent individual such as fetch up slaves to men, or trapping them in the image of belly dancers where in reality, they atomic number 18 real bright and intelligent. Nowadays, Arab girls have a very bright mind like Westerners and they have dream to go on and accomplish. Carmen Soliman, a girl who went by and by her heart wherever it took her to audition the sugars of success is not much different than all separate girls around the globe. About a year ago after continuous dreaming, hoping and believing she became the first victorious contestant of Arab Idol. Carmen is an 18-year grey-headed Arab girl and is only one successful Arabian chick of countless successful Arabian women. Arabs have dreams very standardized to the dreams that westerners have, we all chase the same happiness. How come Arabs are viewed much differently? Using a picture of Carmen Soliman while safekeeping her trophy and expressing her happiness, I will challenge the stereotypes that Arab women are uncivilized, unplaced and obedient and dependant to men that claim that Arab women are reluctant as shown in Hollywood movies.
Since Hollywood movies have been established, it brought in a negative image on Arabs. Hollywood movies and renowned art pieces portray and trap Arab women in the image of uncivilized belly dancers and being obedient or dependent or slaves and treated as slaves especially to men and their interests. A cover of writers talked about how the West portray Arabs and especially Arab women. The two documentaries, spin out Bad Arabs: How Hollywood Vilifies a People and Edward say on Orientalism gives negative evidence from art pieces for famous artists to represent how Arab women are uncivilized, abortive and obedient.
