A growing conquerable population that is seen more in home health and at younger ages is corpulency. The obese population is c ared for in home health for severe pressure ulcers on bony prominences and abdomen because of the obesity, core conditions, respiratory problems, diabetes, and gastric issues. corpulency exerts an enormous health concern through its effect on coronary heart indisposition and its risk factors (Dreiling, 2011, p.1). According to Dr. Koh of the Department of Health one third of U.S. adults 20 years of age or older are now obese (Koh, 2010, p.1). The problem facing this population is the obesity and the core problem is not addressed. The symptoms are treated without addressing the obesity.
