Social Class in America
In todays participation, discussing kinsfolk and where you stand within the class structure is considered a taboo subject. Most Americans prefer not to use words that classify themselves as the working class, upper berth class, or the ruling class. Unlike other countries, we shrink extraneous from such terms because it is easier to believe that all Americans are partake and fall into the working class category. I find that this whimsey gives a false representation of todays sparing situation and leaves most of the population living in denial. It gives a false sense of comfort to those who may struggle consequently causing issues in everyday life. People need to claim the fact that class is a major factor in todays society and that ignoring class divisions in society is not an option anymore. In order to be thriving in todays economy, we need to look at our own economic situation and evaluate what we can do to overcome our current obstacles. I believe that all Americans are equal, but I also believe that we al iodine comport the power to control where we stand within the class structure. It is up to each individual to distinguish their path to success. No one is guaranteed a life of wealth and it takes hard work and dedication to achieve such success.
