In the story of Narcissus and Echo, the author has showed how he defines crawl in through Narcissus. To Narcissus, honey is self-love, and self-admire. Narcissus never shed in love and he did not know what love was till he fell in love with his own reflection. Narcissus love is self-love. He loved himself more than anyone else. Narcissus was scenic as a pip-squeak and grew even more so as he matured. By the age of sixteen, he had broken so many patrol wagon of young girls and boys. He enjoyed attention, praise and envy. He did not retrieve in love and he wanted nothing as falling in love for anyone. Narcissuss love is selfish because he did not concern anyone feeling that for him. I think because he never fell in love and therefore he did not know how hurt Echo was when he rejected her love. Echo is a good illustration that shows how selfish Narcissus was. Echos love for Narcissus was as much as she loved talking. Narcissus got hot when Echo expressed her love for Narcissus by hugging him and he told her, I would rather die than you should receive me! and threw Echo away. I believe he did not need to express his anger, and aversion to Echo.
Because of him, Echo was ashamed of her action, and she ran away to live in the stack longing for a love that never be returned. The disquiet killed her. If Narcissus knew what love was, He would understand how Echo felt. He could have acted differently to Echo, and maybe she would have not died.
Last yet not least, Narcissus love is self admire because he fell in love with his own reflection in the fond. The Gods grew shopworn of Narcissus behavior and cursed Narcissus.
